Saab National 2010

We at South West Saab would like to thank the many visitors that came along to our first National Event. Many campers, day visitors and non members came along to bath Race Course to show off their cars, chat and enjoy themselves.

There were many cars that entered the beauty contest and it became hard to choose some categories. The results of the many classes are printed below. It was great to get the international visitors again but never have we had a visitor from down under as far as I’m aware. A big thank you went out to Swade from saabsunited.com. Furthest driven from outside the UK was our favourite character, Etienne, from Huy in Belgium who came along in the oldest of 900’s that originally came from Cornwall

Bath Race Course put on some very nice food which was enjoyed on both Friday and Saturday evenings, thanks to Tom, Laurie and all.

Thanks also go to Ian for organising the quiz and I’ll confess to being on the team that was eventually named the winner, Etienne does know some very random stuff, lol.

It was fantastic to have a dealer attend this year and I want to thank Craig Bisson from Platinum Saab of Chippenham for bringing along three new Saabs for us to look at, a very smart 9-3 Convertible, a new 9-5 in Aero trim and the very limited edition 9-3 Carlsson. Only 96 are going to be made available in the UK and this was one of the first two.

We now look forward to next years National which will head further north in the country.
